The Humming Bird and the Crane - Freeman Owle
00:00 / 00:00

Freeman Owle is a Cherokee Elder who has traveled extensively spreading the heritage of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian by telling the stories and the history of his people. He learned these legends through the tradition of family and elders passing on the culture orally from generation to generation.

To this day, Freeman Owle continues the tradition both by speaking across the United States and by mentoring the students in the Cherokee Schools on the reservation.

Following are some excerpts from Animal Stories CD by Freeman Owle.
